OUTBACK TAILS

ABOUT US

At Outback Tails, we are dedicated to celebrating Indigenous art and culture through our exquisite dog accessories. Although we are not an Indigenous business, we collaborate directly with the Warlukurlangu and Ikuntji Arts Centres to bring the incredible stories and unique designs of Indigenous Australian artists to pet owners everywhere.

Each purchase you make not only brings unique and vibrant art into your home but also provides much-needed support to these talented creators, with 10% of sales going directly back to the featured artists In fact, since our inception, we've donated over $100,000 to the artists at Warlukurlangu and Ikuntji.

As proud members of the Indigenous Art Code, we ensure all our partners and suppliers uphold high ethical trading standards. We are committed to sustainability, using environmentally friendly packaging and materials whenever possible, and making every effort to minimise our environmental footprint.

We aim to provide a platform for Indigenous artists and ally-friendly businesses and organisations, sharing their rich culture and stories with our customers. From luxurious therapeutic dog beds to exquisite harnesses and leads, our products speak of country, culture, and storytelling, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of First Nations culture.

When you purchase any of our Desert Dog Chew Toys, 10% of sales are donated to the Aussie Desert Dogs program, a charity dedicated to finding loving, forever homes for stray and special needs dogs in remote Indigenous communities.

In addition, when you purchase any of our Outback Animal Toys, you are also making a difference for Australia's wildlife. 10% of sales from these toys are donated to the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC), an organisation committed to the protection and preservation of Australia's diverse and precious animal species and their habitats. Your support through these purchases helps fund these essential activities, contributing to the conservation of Australia’s rich biodiversity and the safeguarding of its natural heritage for future generations.

Proceeds from sales of our Taz the Tassie Devil Chew Toy also go directly to supporting the University of Tasmania's 'Save The Devil' appeal. This initiative is dedicated to preserving and protecting the Tasmanian Devil, a species that has faced numerous challenges and threats, particularly from the devastating Devil Facial Tumour Disease. By purchasing this chew toy, you are contributing to vital research and conservation efforts that aim to ensure the survival and thriving of this unique marsupial in its natural habitat.

Our new Grooming Range is completely non-toxic using only natural ingredients, and draws upon the rich biodiversity of the Australian landscape, and prioritises effectiveness, natural ingredients, and the healing properties of native flora.

Infused with botanical wonders such as Finger Lime, Paperbark Oil, Kakadu Plum, Tasmanian Pepper Berry, and Native Bush Mint, these products offer a gentle yet effective alternative to harsh chemicals, catering to the delicate needs of our furry companions.
