      Patricia Nakamarra Oldfield

Born in 1982 at Alice Springs Hospital, Patricia has spent most of her life in Yuendumu and is the daughter of two Warlukurlangu artists. Her work reflects deep ties to her traditional country, including her featured piece Ngama. This artwork tells the Dreaming story of Yarripiri, a blind and crippled ancestral snake who was carried across the land in search of his family, leaving behind creeks where his tail touched the earth. His journey is depicted through arcs and curved lines that symbolise his path.
